Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University of Connecticut is dedicated to providing IT services, security, and support to faculty, staff, and students on the Storrs and regional campuses. By delivering and evolving central IT solutions aligned with our community’s needs, ITS contributes to excellence in teaching and learning, innovation in research, student success, and operational efficiencies.
ITS Organization and Responsibilities
Campus Technology
Manages classroom technology, the Learning Management System, Web development, digital signage, managed workstations, and help desks across the University.
Connecticut Education Network (CEN)
Provides high-performance Internet services to Connecticut public and private entities.
Enterprise Applications
Implements and supports key University business and student administration systems (e.g., Kuali Financials, PeopleSoft, Concur, HuskyBuy), data warehousing, reporting and administration, as well as specialized applications and integrations.
ENT. Financials & Workload Automation
Enterprise Systems
Manages servers, identity and access management, Microsoft 365 services, storage and virtualization, cloud services, and backups.
Information Security
Operates the UConn cyber security program, which aligns with NIST CSF and includes network security, exposure management, logs and analytics, security operations, risk advising, endpoint protection, and security awareness.
Project Management Office
Oversees management of IT projects in collaboration with University partners.
Research IT
Supports the Storrs high performance computing environment.
Network Telecomm Infrastructure
Engineers and operates the UConn wired, wireless, and voice networks. Operates the UConn Data Center.
